My Journey
I have been an avid sports buff for about 50 golden years. The only sport that
I don’t follow is Buzkashi, it’s too inhumane.Out of 30 enthralling corporate years I have had the pleasure of devoting
nearly 13 years to realizing my dream of direct association with sports management and marketing.
1991-92
My first exposure to sports as Managing the
ad campaigns for Sportstar
1994
Dubai: Did my first Sports sponsorship deal at Asia
Cup cricket tournament in Sharjah
1995-98
Noida -As Head of Sales & Marketing at f Sterling Grand – Greater Noida (now Jaypee Greens), I led the team to conceptualize and create the jewel of Sporting projects – India’s Rs 500 Cr worth first ever integrated Sports and Leisure complex with Golf cou
rses designed by Golf legend Greg Norman. I played host to him for a day in Jan 1996
Initiated and managed over a dozen golf tournaments in the following 2 yrs including Indian leg of World Corporate Golf challenge in association with the reputed PMG (Sunil Gavaskar’s company).
1998-2003
In my first avatar as Sports Entrepreneur Was associated with the
Chennai ATP tournament. Marketed sponsorships and Managed the sponsors.
Met so many top stars like Boris Becker,
Carlos Moya, Nadal.
2014
Sportzlive – Launched India’s first standalone Olympic sports league company.
Our properties include
Official league of Billiards & Snooker Federation of India – Launched Cue Slam, a global
professional league incorporating pool and snooker in an exciting new format with live broadcast on Sony Six.
Badminton Association of India
We hold the exclusive license rights for the Premier Badminton League, the most sought-after
global badminton league. Successfully executed for the last 4 out of the total 5 seasons completed by the league. It is also amongst one of the highest prize money badminton tournaments in the world, with live broadcast on Star Sports & Hotstar in India and through partner channels
around the world.
Boxing Federation of India
SLE successfully delivered the first season of the much awaited Big Bout, Indian Boxing
League in 2019.
2017
We set up a state-of-the-art 50,000 sft 15 court High
Performance Academy for Badminton in association
with Pullela Gopichand.
2020
Launched a startup in UAE in partnership with Mr Pullela
Gopichand to launch Badminton academies. We have already 4
academies functional
2021
Launched a start up in Esports business and we own a
team called Hyderabad Hydras. Our team is a top 5
PUBG team in the country.
2023
planning to launch a national brand which will revolutionize
sports coaching in india.
